“Sometimes it makes sense – indeed, it is necessary – to start all over again. A reset, in which old ‘bad habits’ and baggage can be discarded. A reset allows us to rethink everything. Everything? Of course you received training, of course you had good teachers, and yet it is always worthwhile to take a look at how you can pursue your own individual path to your own art, your own ideal of theatre or film. Where are the “missing links”? Do I actually have a clear plan and good exercises to prepare myself for a role on my own? Are there even different methods? Which ones? When was the last time I told a story? Is there perhaps more to it than simply retelling the plot in a linear way? Can storytelling help to give wings to my imagination?
