The new Face of the Acting Teacher in the Quantum Age

The Teacher as artists and researcher

This is a course for all those who have set themselves the goal of training the next generation of actors and enabling them to perform in a theatre that we do not yet know today.

Passing on knowledge is a nobel tradition, but there is a danger of stagnation. This course is for all those who see teaching as a research process and who not only teach students, but are themselves a driving force for new forms of performance, moreover, who are searching for new ways of imparting knowledge.

The new Face of the Acting Teacher means rethinking teaching, its content and oneself.
In recent years, Dr Jurij Alschitz has developed a Quantum Training based on so-called Quantum Pedagogy. His textbook on Quantum Pedagogy will be published in April 2026. Participants in this course have the privilege of belonging to the first generation to receive this knowledge personally from the inventor.

„Quantum pedagogy is like quantum physics, in which you want something, you invent it, and the world is created according to your desire. If you don’t want it, it won’t exist. The same is true in quantum pedagogy — there is knowledge, but then there isn’t. There is theatre, but it does not exist. There is a person, but there is not. An actor, a character, a school — these are just a scattering of ideas, electrons, thoughts, quanta, atoms, etc., which come together and scatter. And, of course, it is possible to consolidate them into methods and systems, but they will still fall apart. I think this is real Theatre, not realistic, but real. The path to it lies through quantum training. When we say that a thought is real, we mean that our thoughts about theatre, our ideas, lessons, and training exercises create theatrical reality and, as it were, attract it to us. Our ideas and thoughts about theatre give birth to the matter of theatre at the quantum level, then it is nurtured and finally manifests itself at the physical level. Quantum physics, followed by quantum tracking, says that thoughts have mass and possess the power of attraction and can attract other thoughts, people, events and any other mass. Thought creates. How does this happen?

Come and find out. Go through this school and discover theatre as a macro and micro world. Attention! You must change your way of thinking. If you change your way of thinking, you will change yourself..” JA

In order to use quantum training effectively, one must first be familiar with a large number of individual exercises, let’s call them pixels, in order to then be able to confidently construct the picture using the available variables, i.e. to be able to teach in the spirit of quantum pedagogy.

The course The New Face of the Acting Teacher introduces the principles of quantum pedagogy and at the same time imparts the practical know-how to apply them. Participants are therefore also introduced to the extensive practice of ‘training as a method’ and receive targeted and necessary knowledge on how to structure and conduct seminars, semesters and courses of study.

Since none of us are yet at home in the world of quantum physics, this course seeks to strike a balance between systematically structured knowledge transfer and attempts to make this knowledge tangible in the spirit of quantum pedagogy. Let us embark together on a journey of new learning methods and teaching experiences.

In four weekend modules, Jurij Alschitz will focus primarily on the following topics, which can be seen as the foundation of artistic acting training:

  • The entrance examination: Who is examining whom?
  • Acting in nothingness – contemporary techniques for actors in superposition
  • Teaching in dialogue – teaching dialogue
  • Ensemble – the basis for personality development
  • The vision of my school – learning and teaching processes
  • Ethics in theatre …
